etsy fall finds

"Delicious autumn!  My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns."
-   George Eliot

"I cannot endure to waste anything as precious as autumn sunshine by staying in the house.  So I spend almost all the daylight hours in the open air."
-  Nathaniel Hawthorne
wouldn't they be adorable to decorate with!

Psalm 36:5-10

Your love, O LORD, reaches to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the skies.
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains,
your justice like the great deep.
O LORD, you preserve both man and beast.
How priceless is your unfailing love!
Both high and low among men
find refuge in the shadow of your wings.
 They feast on the abundance of your house;
you give them drink from your river of delights.
 For with you is the fountain of life;
in your light we see light.
Continue your love to those who know you,
your righteousness to the upright in heart.

help!

I have no idea how to make a bed or accessorize with pillows.
After years of making my bed under my mother's watchful eye, I spent my first two years of marriage leaving the bed unmade or with all the pillows thrown on top- yes, so rebellious- but now that we have a little less floor space to leave the pillows next to the bed and easy access to both sides of the bed (see old bedroom {here}) I have no excuse not to make the bed at least several times a week

Here is where I need your help!  I know there are many talented bed makers and decorators out there who can offer me some fabulous advice!
Do you have any special tips on arrangement of pillows, comforters, etc?
Leave some comments below or link to your own blog, so we can all learn more!
Or if you have been inspired by pictures or someone's blog, link below in your comment too!
Unless you all can help me, I think I might just leave my bed like this:

Peanut Butter Autumn Spotlights

My favorite cookbooks are seasonal or divided by holidays. I always try to cook/bake at least a few special seasonal dishes from these cookbooks and I'm going to try to share a few Falls ones in the next couple days.
This recipe comes from a Pillsbury cookbook called {Holiday Baking} (treats for Halloween to New Years!)
INGREDIENTS:
1 box (1lb 2.25 oz.) yellow cake mix with pudding
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter softened
1/4 cup water
2 eggs
1 cup peanut butter M&Ms (okay, I added WAY more than one cup!)

Heat oven to 350F.  Beat cake mix, peanut butter, butter, water and eggs with electric mixer on low until well blended.  Stir in all the M&Ms (or peanut candy pieces of choice).  Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 8-12 minutes until light-golden brown.  Quickly remove from cookie sheet, grab a glass of milk and enjoy them while they are hot!

bedroom beauty

All of these bedrooms are so different, but I am drawn to every one!  Each bedroom has a pop of color somewhere and at least one GORGEOUS vintage item, if not five.  I want to use the wall color below for my guest room/office...
Love this yellow! but Patrick already said no :)
see that pop of blue! love it!
I'm on a search for a headboard just like that... and that end table too!
love these simple whites mixed with the most unique colors:
Which one is your favorite?  I working on our guest room/office now... what color would you want to welcome you in?

(Sorry, all these pictures have been saved to my desktop and I have no idea where they are from! link them if you know them!)

Knesset

Below is Knesset, an important Israeli government building.  The Knesset is the unicameral legislature of Israel in Givat Ram, Jerusalem.
This was our final stop before the "farewell" dinner and the airport.  We were all getting hungry and a little over the site-seeing... so unfortunately I can't tell you much about this place.  Below is a sculpture of the Menorah.  Click {here} for more information about this sculpture that was donated to Knesset.
