Happy National Coffee Day!

Y'all know our love of coffee. Sadly our coffee bar has been taken over by scarf inventory, but there is no shortage of coffee makers, presses, etc. in our home.  I'm slowly moving my "shop" up to the guest room- in hopes of getting our dining room & coffee bar back to normal ;)

National Coffee Day is always a great start to Patrick's birthday week (and a good reminder, in case I forget his birthday is coming!) since he is master coffee connoisseur.  Our first date was over coffee and it didn't take me long to realize that talking over a good cup of coffee is definitely his love language.

I was looking through old posts the other day and found this one {here} of JR learning about espresso from his daddy... the week before Vera was born! And even now JR loves to help Patrick with coffee and will inform me of the right technique if I do the aeropress wrong :)

Savor a good cup of coffee with a friend today or let the kids watch an extra few minutes of TV so you can simply rest & enjoy a cup by yourself... while it's still hot.

Etsy- Friday Favorites!

Wow- I never realized what a neat community Etsy was until I opened my shop!  So many sweet owners & designers... I would love to share a few with you each Friday and if you have any you would like to recommend or share feel free to comment below or link to your own "Etsy Friday Favorite" blog post :)

First up... Max Moccs
Adorable packaging (my order shown above), great customer service & amazing quality! Vera & John Ryman have a pair of the butterscotch (shown above) and Vera also has a pair of the mustard yellow... might just be my favorite!  But check out what will be released on September 26th:
Those boots sure are perfect for fall, but so are these furry moccs...
You will not be disappointed with any of her handmade, soft-soled, genuine leather moccasins!

Next for us girls...
Y'all know I love a good cup of coffee &
even more so when I can enjoy it in a beautiful mug like this one!
She has so many cute designs- not just on mugs...
I would love to have this canvas in our home one day &
I think my desk needs one or two of her notepads ;)

Sweet customer service, neat packaging & gorgeous designs.
What would you pick from Lettered Life's calligraphy?

I would love to hear from you! Comment below or

Thrive Moms- Fall Retreat

I shared a few months ago {here} about Thrive Moms- "a ministry for moms to encourage and inspire you to do more than just survive motherhood... walking confidently in who He calls us to be as mothers."  They are doing some amazing things and definitely encourage me with their posts and weekly emails.  I have never been good at scripture memorization, but I've enjoyed using their lock screen wallpapers that coordinate with the week's email as a way to learn scripture and even teach John Ryman.  I might change a word here or there so it makes more sense in his mind-- but it's been precious to learn verses together.  He is way smarter than me too!
I'm really excited about the impact this ministry is having on so many women.  Coming up on Nov. 8th, Thrive is offering a FREE online retreat!  Yoga pants & coffee on your couch... a group of friends & snacks... or sign up to host it a group at your local church.  I love that it caters to our mama lives- no travel time or outrageous fees!  You can read more and register for the retreat on Thrive Mom's website.  Check out the retreat devotionals, cute mugs, and more {here}

I would love to hear from you if you are interested in getting a group together for the Retreat.  If you're in the Evansville, IN or Louisville, KY area and would be interested, leave a comment or email me! I haven't decided what I'm going to do, but y'all may sway my decision :)

The Heart of Everyday Pitter Patter

You all have blown me away with your encouragement, support and love of scarves.
Thank you, Thank you!

I started Everyday Pitter Patter on a whim after a little nudge from my husband, but honestly, looking back, it has been years in the making.  Whether it was fear, feelings of inadequacy or simply wrong timing, up until two months ago I pushed away any plans for a business or shop.  But what's the worst that could happen-- no one buys anything and I have tons of scarves for Christmas gifts ;)

Well, you have bought, gifted & shared them.  I have sewn, restocked, and packaged.  Some styles have flopped and others I have learned adjusted patterns and sizing.  I'm sure this will be an ever-changing and hopefully ever-improving little shop!  But I realized I kinda got ahead of myself and needed to take a step back.  What was the heart & motivation behind Everyday Pitter Patter Shop and my dream for the future?

Don't worry, I'm not going to share everything with you.  I just want you to know the heart behind Everyday Pitter Patter is to share beauty & joy with others and encourage the spirit of giving.

I hope there are many ways that we can all do this together!  More than just beautiful scarves and great customer service, each month I would like to give to a greater cause and invite you to join me!  Starting in October, there will be one scarf design each month that will be sold and all profits from that scarf line will go directly to a family that is in the process of adoption.  I look forward to sharing these families and their stories, supporting them with our prayers and money.

(We are currently looking for families that are raising funds, waiting and praying through the adoption process.  If you or someone you know would like to be featured for one of our monthly adoptive families please email me! everydaypitpat@gmail.com)

Another way I want to encourage you with a spirit of giving...
Anyone who purchases something from the shop that will be given as a gift to someone else will always receive 10% off their entire purchase.  "GIVING10" can be used in the Coupon Code section during checkout.  (If you ever want to use more than one code -Etsy only allows one- so simply leave a note in the comments section of your order and I can adjust after it goes through!)

So please treat your friends to a special treat in the mail (I can even ship straight to them!) and help me support families through the adoption process.  And we can share in beauty and joy along the way!

Oh, Let me introduce you to my assistant... John Ryman.
He is my mailman, sewing pedal speed racer, and my hourly entertainment!

(If you are a creative or business owner or simply interested- highly recommend {dreamjobshop} and her current training series!)

Baby Scarves- New Reversible Styles!

Which one is your favorite? I love how I can add one of these to Vera's jeans and a simple shirt- creating such a stylish fun outfit. Fashionable Drool Catcher :)  That fox sure is pretty cute, but I think my favorite is the yellow dot!  Perfect for accessorizing or adding something unique to your family photoshoot.
